Feather Bliss .....

Loving feather designs at the moment too so I made a CAS greetings card using a feather as the main feature.

I started with a 5 x 7 inch white card blank and cut a pale blue matt with an oblong stitched edge die through the Sizzix Big Shot.  I then chose a feather die and cut this into the blue matt.  I then cut the feather again in white card.  The white feather was then embossed with an embossing folder.

I backed the feather aperture on the matt with a coloured background made from Brushos and then cut another matt in green as a base for the blue matt.

The embossed white feather was applied offset as shown on foam pads and the sentiment (Papertrey Ink) stamped in onyx black Versafine ink before applying the matt to the cardblank.

I added three blue adhesive pearls to finish the design.

Kraft Butterfly Thanks ......

More CAS butterflies from me today in this 'Thanks' card. Seem to be having a butterfly phase at the moment !

I started with a 5 x 5 inch square white card blank and then diecut a smaller square matt in Kraft with a stitched edge square die through the Sizzix Big Shot.

I then punched a 'flight' of butterflies in more Kraft card with a Martha Stewart punch and edged these in oasis green Versamagic Chalk ink . They were then stuck in place randomly and central onto the Kraft matt as shown.

I stamped the sentiment (Papertreyink) in Versafine onyx black ink onto white card, trimmed out and mounted again on pale blue cardstock before applying amongst the butterflies on foam pads.  The Kraft matt was then stuck onto the card base with more foam pads to finish the card.

Plain but effective I thought !

Friendly butterflies ......

Always love to make CAS cards and this is one of them with minimal stamping too !

I started with a 5 x 7 white card blank and cut a smaller matt with an oblong stitched edge die.  I then embossed this with a spotty embossing folder through the Sizzix Big Shot.

I then punched 6 shaded butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch.  These were arranged and stuck in place in a semi-circular shape.

I stamped the sentiment (inkadinkado) onto some white card in Versafine onyx black and diecut this with another square stitched edge die.  The matt and sentiment were applied on foam pads to finish.

This meets the challenge over on the CASology Challenge Blog for this week whose subject is 'Season' .  Thinking that I love to see the butterflies in the Summer.... don't you?

Stripey Birthday .......

I do like making Clean And Simple cards so this is a CAS birthday card I made recently in that style.

I started with a 6 x 6 white card blank and diecut a smaller stitched edge matt out of more white card. Onto this I then stamped some solid flowers (PaperArtsy) in Memento angel pink in a random line across the matt.  Over this I applied a piece of black & pink Washi tape.

I then diecut 'Happy Birthday' in pink card and again in black card.  These I layered slighly offset before sticking to the card as shown.

Finishing touch was to add a black sparkly embellishment.

This meets this weeks challenge on the 'Less Is More Challenge Blog' whose theme is 'Stripe' .

Angelic Arch .....

Not seen many of these lately so I thought I might revive the idea by making a decorated Gothic Arch.

I started with a piece of white card trimmed to the shape of a Gothic Arch.  This was coloured using Starburst Stains spray in Delphinium Turquoise.  I added a few coats especially around the edges and as usual the Mica shimmer does not show very well on the photos.  Once dry I inked a heart stamp (Chocolate Baroque) with starlight silver Brilliance Ink and stamped stamped several times along the bottom of the card.

Next I took some sequin waste and applied moonlight white Brilliance Ink through it on the left and bottom edges.  This was dried thoroughly with the heat gun.  I then inked an angel stamp (Art Journey) with Versafine onyx black ink and stamped this centrally at an angle. The angel wings and hair were highlighted in places with a white Posca pen.

Next I took a piece or real lichen covered twig and attached this at the bottom of the angel image with hot glue.  To this I applied a little metal heart charm on a foam pad threaded through with silver ribbon round the twig as shown.

The whole arch was then matted onto silver mirri card which I stamped with a text stamp in black Stazon Ink.  This was then trimmed to leave a border around the coloured plate.  A small strip of card was trimmed with decorative scissors and coloured with blue ink and stuck in place at the bottom. Finally some pearl beads were used to embellish and were stuck in place with Glossy Accents as shown.

Let's have a revival of the Gothic Arch !!

I am also entering this piece into the April 'Take It Make It Challenge' over on the Craft Stamper Blog whose theme is 'Anything Goes'

Soaring by ..........

This card was made on a 5 x 7 inch white card blank.  I cut a slightly smaller matt in teal coloured card and embossed this through a dotty embossing folder in the Sizzix Big Shot. This was glued to the front of the card.

I then diecut a square stitched matt in more white card and stamped this with hills & hot air balloons in Versafine black ink.  I then took some buttons coloured with dark teal Copic alcohol ink and tied these through with some glitter twine.  They were attached with hot glue.

The sentiment was stamped on white card and diecut with a stitched oblong die.  Both panels were attached as shown on foam pads and some adhesive pearls added to finish the card.

This meets the City Crafter Challenge blog challenge for this week which is to CASE a card by Stella. I have used spots, balloons and teal as my CASED elements.

Spring Garden .....

A Card made to reflect the colours of Spring !  Especially loving the cherry blossom at this time of the year.

The centre of the blossom was embellished with a flat gem and the sentiment (Beth Hughes) stamped on more white card with Versafine ink and stuck in place as shown.

Believe in music ........

This card has been made for a Challenge over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog where this weeks Challenge is to CASE a card made by Ros.  There is a music element on the card so I have used this as the basis for this card.

I used a 5 x 5 inch square white card blank and matted black and mauve/pink papers onto the front.

I stamped the music & the cello (Chocolate Baroque) onto white card with Memento black ink, trimmed these out and coloured around the cello with Copic markers.  These were added on foam pads as shown.  I diecut the flower in the same papers, stamped with a swirl stamp and assembled the layers & finished with a black adhesive gem.  It was placed as shown.

I stamped the sentiment (Personal Impressions) and diecut this after backing with more paper, trimming out before adding as shown.  Two more black gems were added to finish.

This postcard if for a Monthly Swap over on UK Stampers Forum facebook group.  This Months theme is to use 'Swirls & Flourishes' on your card.

This 6 x 4 inch Postcard was made on a base of white card trimmed to size.  I then used Distress inks and a clear heat emboss to act as a mask and then added more colour.  The images (ISC) were stamped on tissue paper in Memento black ink and applied to the card with Matte Medium and were coloured with Copic markers.

The edge was lined with a Posca Pen to finish.

On Yer Bike !!

Don't mean it really !!!!  A general greetings card from me today !

I started with a 5 x 7 inch white card blank and trimmed a printed paper matt slightly smaller than the card front.  I edged this with chalk ink and stuck in place on the card applying stitches with a Micron pen.

I stamped, with Memento Ink, the bike and the sentiment (Papertrey Ink) on white card and diecut these with a stitched edge die.  I coloured some of the bike with Copics and edged the diecuts with chalk ink.  I then chose two buttons and used these as wheels (tied through with embroidery thread) and stuck in place with hot melt glue.

The matts were applied on foam pads and some adhesive gems added to finish.

Male Thanks .....

This card was made as a thankyou card suitable for a man !

I started with a 5 x 7 inch white card blank and I cut some mats from printed papers by Graphic 45 and assembled them as shown.

The 'Legs' are from Zetti and were stamped with Memento black ink and trimmed out before applying on some foam pads on the top mat.  I added some glitter card (diecut), an arrow strip and a sentiment (mounted on foam pads.

The card was finished by adding some black adhesive gems.

It fits the bill for the City Crafter Blog weekly challenge for this week which is to 'CASE' a provided card by Kirsty.  My main CASED element is taken from the bold stripes on the sample card which reminded me of these Zetti legs.

Nesty Thanks .....

Easter is fast approaching and this card could also be used as an Easter card with a different stamped sentiment !

I started with a 6 x 6 inch square white card blank.  I then trimmed a slightly smaller matt of printed paper from a 6 x 6 inch pad by Stampin' Up and applied this on the card front.

I then used a photo frame die and cut into more white card.  The egg, nest and birds (Artemio) were stamped twice on two more printed papers in Memento black ink.  These were trimmed out and paper pieced as shown.  The eyes and wing edges of the birds were highlighted in white Posca pen. The sentiment was stamped on the frame and the nest & birds stuck n place as shown.

I made a ribbon banner from more papers and placed this as shown under the frame which was applied on foam pads to finish the card.

CAS Sympathy .......

This Sympathy card was made on a 5 x 7 inch white card blank.  I diecut a flower & stem in pastel green card and then stamped three more in peach, lavender & pink.  The flower heads were trimmed off and overlayed on the green base diecut and these were then edged in a slighly darker Copic Marker.

I then diecut a stitched rectangle and stuck the flower in place.  This was then matted on foam pads as shown.

The sentiment (Uniko), was stamped on a small piece of white card in Versafine ink and this was mounted on more foam pads to complete the card.

It meets the Less Is More Challenge Blog for this week whose theme is '3 Pastels'

Sparkle & Shine ......

This set of Inchies was made for a Swap over at UK Stampers Forum, whose theme this Month is 'Sparkle & Shine'

I have used embossed glitter card as the base, stamping with Versamark & heat embossing with metallic EP's, collaged elements, glass chips, gems and I dug out my trusty old Gold Krylon Pen to do the edging.  Might say it took a while to get it primed but it still did the trick !  They have been mounted onto mountboard to give them some rigidity.

If you fancy making some Inchies and joining in the Swap visit us by clicking HERE, where you can join the Forum and join in this and other Swaps that are running this Month.

Scribble Roses thanks ......

This CAS card started like on a 6 x 6 inch white card blank. I cut a smaller matt of dark mauve card and a smaller matt in more white card.  I worked on the white matt.

I cut the Tim Holtz (Sizzix) Scribble Rose die three times in white, pale mauve & dark mauve.  I then took a leaf die and cut 4 leaves which I then stamped with pale green Versamagic ink.  I used stamps from Artemio to stamp the stems in green Memento ink directly onto the matt after positioning the diecuts.

The diecuts were stuck in place over the stamped stems and then the leaves added on foam pads.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento black ink on more white card and also applied on foam pads. The matt was applied on more foam pads to the dark mauve matt and three adhesive crystals applied to finish.

This is my entry into the April 2017 Card Colour Theme Challenge over on the UK Stampers Forum if you fancy joining us we are a small but friendly craft Group on Facebook, just click the link !

Loving those scribbly roses !
